Through the Community Mental Health Centers in Mississippi, there are modalities of treatment that have been shown to effectively help individuals with Opioid Use Disorder. Motivational Interviewing, Community Reinforcement Approach, and Medication-Assisted Treatment have all shown positive outcomes for those with Opioid Use Disorder. The Department of Mental Health is providing training for all three approaches as well as training in the Medical Community for SBIRT, Screening, Brief Intervention, & Referral to Treatment.
